New Campus Ministry Plant - Team Lead Position
Our mission at Sojourn is to help college students discover God’s dream for their life. Currently between 50-75% of students involved with Sojourn are exploring the Christian faith, but are not yet followers of Jesus. With teams serving campuses in Boston, MA and Rhode Island, Sojourn Campus Ministry Staff work in teams to facilitate a Jesus centered community where students can genuinely experience God’s love, live more justly and exploring faith together.
Boston and Rhode Island are home to over 60 colleges and universities and more than 400,000 college students. To help further our mission, we are currently seeking a dynamic, grace-driven Team Leader to launch a new Sojourn ministry alongside a church plant partnership in Waltham, MA. Waltham is home to two strategic schools: Bentley and Brandeis Universities.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Create and execute an outreach strategy to students attending Bentley and Brandeis
Raise funds to support salary and programming
Recruit a team of at least two additional people to create and execute programming
Develop partnership with local church planting team
Exemplify a personal pursuit of Jesus in personal life.
The Ideal Candidate:
Desires to reach students far from God
Has a Bachelor’s Degree OR 3 years team leading experience or planting training
Has demonstrated an ability to build and lead teams/projects
Can communicate God’s dream for the world with students
Is self-motivated, but also teachable and ready to learn
Salary Range and Benefits:
Salary range commensurate with experience: $55,000-$75,000
